FarmerTweedy
3 hours ago, soonbe110 said: Depends on where you sit in new stand and what you are comparing with. One of my ‘mates’ paid £315 for a seat in their main stand whereas I paid £500 for a seat in Wheatfield. Their kids seats are much cheaper than ours. You need to do apples to apples comparisons to get it accurate. Try comparing their east stand prices with Wheatfield prices. They are comparable ie stand opposite the main stands at both stadia. Think you will discover a significant difference in prices especially if you use earlybird prices for ER, it’s £385 v £500 for adult tickets? That’s about 30%. For u13’s it’s £85 v £110, again circa 30%. They actually sell kids tickets for parts of the stadium at £50. After VAT is deducted it’s £41.67 per seat, virtually a free seat. How many of them do you think they have included in their 11k announced today? IIRC, their £50 kids tickets are only in the lower tier of the famous 5-1 stand, which I think only holds about 1,600 folk. When you factor in that it's a 'family' section, and I'm sure that £50 price is only for u12 or u13s, there's at most a few hundred kids getting that price, and precious little opportunity for anyone that's not a renewing ST holding family to take advantage of it. The reality is, it's a headline grabbing gimmick rather than a good value pricing strategy!

An instant recognition of each fans part in the ongoing Natural Order. I think a counter could only help sales if they were already going well, and good and growing figures were just building excitement. If sales were even remotely disappointing, or left scope for anyone to try to argue in such terms, I don't think it would help at all. Fair point, that it might become a millstone if things were not going well. There must be some way to harness the current enthusiasm, I find it hard to believe that cup final attendees (or even TV viewers) would not want to attend on a regular basis, if time and finances permitted. How many have the Yams sold?” “10.5k” “Really? Haha big team.” “Hearts have sold 11.5k actually.” “Aye so their dot counter says.” “Brilliant that we are outselling them. Firstly, youth and child prices in the lower bit of the FF stand are the only ones which are priced differently depending on location. All other ST categories pay the same price no matter where you sit in the ground, so an adult ST in the front row behind a goal costs the same as one in the upper tier of their main stand. Secondly, the fact that they have an early bird pricing window suggests to me that their sales will be more weighted towards that early period than ours are, as unless you want a specific seat, the only incentive to buy early for us is helping the club, whereas for them, they save money buying earlier. mitch41
Looking at the amount of blue seats that are lying empty is worrying i’d of hoped we’d of sold more by now.
