I think I recall Robbie Keane doing that for spurs

Love that sort of thing!

WTF were his team mates going?

Posted

I love the way that the other striker initially hangs about to create the illusion of being the last man.

Simplicity personified.

Sure Henry did that.

Look at the greedy striker trying to knick the goal

Austin McPhee will be adding that to our repertoire. Don't think Uche is the player to hide in the opposition goal though.

Posted

Why the **** didnt his team mates give him a shout.

Lee Miller tried to do it at Easter Road. Was pulled down by the goalie, no penalty given.

Olly Lee would be ideal for that, he's capable of hiding for 90 minutes

Shay Given, only Irishman who doesn't know where Dublin is!

You could see big Uche on the moon with a decent telescope.

That goal was hilarious by the way.

Would never have happened in the old days. Keepers used to just drop volley the ball from their hands and punt it in to orbit like Peter McCloy used to do.

Thread has nothing to do with Hearts. Don’t let that stop you having a pop at a Hearts player though

On topic: Why the **** did his teammates not let him know he was hovering about like that?

With Lee's pace, the keeper could have put the ball down, read the chapter of a book and managed to work out what Brexit is all about before he was anywhere near him.

Aye, cool mate ??

I'll leave you to slagging off a Hearts player in a thread about a goal scored in a match between Carlisle and Notts County.

I remember before the laws were changed to offer goalies more protection, Andy Dibble had the ball nodded out of his palm when he was about to play it.

I'm sure he was in goal for Man City v Nottingham Forest.

Read my post properly.

If you did you'd see it was a tongue in cheek response to a tongue in cheek post about Uche hiding behind the keeper.

Not difficult to understand, unless of course you'd mislaid your sense of humour

My sense of humour is fine.

All I saw was an unnecessary dig at a Hearts player in a thread with no Hearts content. If I've misinterpreted your post then I apologize for that.

Oh dear. Sorry to upset you. It was just a wee bit banter. You know like the "Uche is so hard he....." or when Big Dave McPherson used to charge up the park to the donkey noise from his own fans. A wee bit banter. You poor wee precious soul.

Are you ok?

You seem a lot more offended by my post than I was of yours.

You need a hug or something?

great thanks. Didn't think I came across as upset in the least but still nice bit of deflection. Have a good day. Have the last word if you like too.

Cheers

That's what i thought,  I wouldn't be blaming the keeper,  his gormless teammates should have been screaming at him to warn him!

Those were for disabled fans.

Used to be a common sight back in the day.

Deflection from what?

If you look back, you’ll see that I conceded that I may have misinterpreted The Treasurers post. You, however decided to keep it going.

Hope you also have a good day.

Thanks for the final word :)

While I don't mind them as a club, their stadium is a shitehole.

It's a bog in the rain and their stands don't line up which causes the newer one to start at around the penatly spot and run past the goal line at the other end by about 12 yards.

I assume this was done as part of a planned redevelopment on the stadium that never went ahead. Just looks utterly stupid ?

Back to that goal, wtf were the opposition players doing by just standing around not giving their keeper a shout!

Edit: Found a pic.
