Professor.Arturo
You'll see a MAJOR difference in picture/sound. I buy them from Amazon, decent prices. They are still a bit expensive in shops though.
argyjambo
Just had a new samsung 40" 6 series HDTV delivered with the new samsung Blue Ray player. Bought it from John lewis(as always) good well -informed staff competetive prices and free 5 year guarantee on tv 2 year on blue ray player. A point to note, installers advised that I wont get full HD voa blue ray player until I get an HDMI cable which was not supplied with the player. Got one from ASDA today less than a tenner. Remember as its a digital signal dont buy an HDMI cable costing anymore, it wont get u a better picture. Shame I'm going out tonight, can anyone recommend some films on Blue ray format worth watching. I like a good plot that makes me think & good actors. nae pesh please! Rab87
Your best bet would be to sign upto loveFilm on their 3 month free trial. You can rent 2 blu-ray's at a time. It's great for getting you started with blu-ray as picture quality varies so you wont waste your cash. The pixar movie "Cars" is the best quality blu-ray I've seen so far. They have a huge selection and with a 3 month free trial you cant go wrong, just cancel after 3 month and you dont pay a penny.

I've only got around 20 at the moment, due to price I pick and choose what I buy. 2 I would recommend on Blu-ray are 'I, Robot' and 'The day after tomorrow'. I also got the Dirty Harry movies, dont know if its got to do with the age of the movies, but they vary a lot in quality, such as 'Magnum Force', apart from a few scenes its not much better than dvd....but the audio is superior.
