I'm not your pal.  But putting that aside for a moment, let me remind you of one of JKB's published rules:

16. No trolling. Trolling is the act of posting with the explicit and sole intent of annoying other members.

Trump will be doing Porridge, soon enough. Probably after his only term of embarrassed.

The American economy is about to implode, so the people will bury him. And fwiw, God isn't blessing this prick, other than with a big gay cellmate.

An extract from an article in Vogue magazine:

“Oh my God. This is terrible. This is the end of my Presidency. I’m ****ed,” Donald Trump moaned when he learned of the appointment of a special prosecutor, according to page 78 of the long-awaited Mueller Report, finally released in redacted form on Thursday. But is he really ****ed? Those who have not yet cracked this 448-page document may be surprised that it’s a fun read, in a horror novel sort of way. (Start with Volume Two, it’s juicier.) Along with the staggering number of examples where Trump campaign officials and various Russian operatives emailed, texted, chatted, and cozied up to each other, and the many, many times the president appears to have clearly obstructed justice, there are a lot of other shiny little gems.

All your favorite characters are here! Hope Hicks, referring to the president as “Boss Man”! Don Jr., reprising his now famous mantra—when Russians supposedly had “dirt” on Hillary Clinton, he emailed, “If it’s what you say, I love it!” White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders, admitting she’s a liar, telling the Mueller team that one of her more outrageous fibs was a mere “slip of the tongue.” And remember when Mueller decided to let Trump off the hook and allowed him to answer written questions rather than sit down for an interview? Well, guess what? The guy who boasted that he has “one of the world’s greatest memories” stated that he did not “recall” or “remember” or have an “independent recollection” more than 30 times.

USA planning to veto a UN resolution on the use of mass rape as a weapon of war, because the resolution contains mentions of offering victim support via sexual health clinics.

USA claims the language used constitutes the UN advocating abortions and will veto because of that.

USA also unhappy that the word "gender" appears, as it claims this is a promotion of Trans rights.

Donny also suing the accountancy firm that was hit with a subpoena from congress for his finances.

He's desperate to keep his financial dealings secret.

Wonder why?

State visit announced for the 3-5 June.

Would be a perfect opportunity for the extinction rebellion protesters to send a message to the USA and occupy the mall, constitution hill & around the Victoria Memorial and block his path to Buckingham Palace, what a shame if he had to fly in and miss the whole horse drawn carriage part.

No he's not, he's the bestest President ever in the history of the US, a worldwide respected leader whom everyone in the whole wide world loves dearly, the smartest person in the room, and a pure genius to boot as well, oh and a kind faithful husband.

Well at least that's what the guy staring back at him in the mirror said to him this morning.  ?

Hypothetically, I wonder what would happen in such a situation. Surely the Secret Service wouldn't attack/shoot Harry. But as it's technically assault, could he be arrested?

Given his approval rating is at it's lowest since he ruffled the Charlottesville nazis hair, he'd better start giving the slightest **** what a bunch of Americans think of him.

I see Trump has committed a terrible gaffe by referring to Brenda as "Her Royal Majesty Queen Elizabeth II" in a tweet. Apparently that breaches some protocol or other.

I hope he finds better insults (however inadvertently)  for the old bird in due course.

The field is way too big with an unending stream of randos throwing their hats in, but that will sort itself out sooner or later. Right now the "Four Bs" are getting a lot of pub (Biden, Beto, Bernie, and Buttigieg) -- I don't think any of them will win the nomination (at least I hope not).

Elizabeth Warren has flown under the radar but I think she's starting to break through, thankfully.

My concern and I am not a Democrat or even a Republican, is only the opinion that USA is a major player in world politics, and as is I am sure patently obvious I am no believer that Donald Trump is capable or honorable enough to wear the mantle of this power. The Republicans for whatever reason will not contradict or criticise Trump on anything. That leaves the Democrats with the opportunity to show a united strong group to face the 2020 election

So far I have seen a party that cannot agree on Impeachment of Trump, a party that have so many nominees that when the debates start the picture will be of a party of numerous discussions with very divergent views and opinions, where I would expect to see discussions amongst a smaller group who would have similar views on policy, but present their attributes and how they would lead to get it done, so far I haven't seen that at all. My main concern is that what will appear is a party with minimal agreement, giving the impression of the same problem as presently exists but for different reasons, disfunctional.

It's a fair concern, but I suppose I have to stress that while the number of candidates for the nomination is higher than normal, it's not that uncommon for there to be more than a dozen at this point. Some won't raise any money to speak of, some will get tired of it, some will sell enough copies of their memoirs that they'll cash in and quit, some will switch to run for another office. Both the 2008 Democratic primary and the 2016 Republican primary had huge numbers of candidates, and that obviously didn't hurt them too much. Contrast that to the 2016 Democratic primary where there was never more than 4 remotely viable candidates, and it didn't go so well.

I know that in parliamentary democracies, where the parties huddle then pick a leader before starting the campaign, this looks messy and disorganized, but it's a rather normal state of affairs at this point in the campaign, for better or worse.

The primary system, particularly the Iowa/New Hampshire/South Carolina run, is particularly weird and kind of unfair, but it does have the impact of dramatically winnowing the field before many people have voted.

As for impeachment, well, his outright refusal to comply with Congressional subpoenas may force that issue sooner rather than later.

Of course you are absolutely correct, I got a wee bit more agitated when old Joe Biden announced his candidacy, and of course as you say I have lived in politicl spheres where the candidates are selected by the parties. And the primary thing to understand is when you reach my age your memory wanes, but frustration and anger increases.

Biden's candidacy is an embarrassment, as are all the people falling all over themselves to declare him the front runner.

The folks I know in Charlottesville who were on the front lines facing down the Nazis there are extremely unhappy about him using the videos of the violence there as a campaign prop in his announcement video.
