If the defenders closed down Olly Lee or marked Peter Haring then they wouldn't have scored either. What a ridiculous comment to make. Fwiw, Stevie Mallan would have every chance of being a first pick for us. Might have guessed you’d bite at someone slagging Hibs ? stevie Mallan would not get in this first team at hearts. Fact Keep repeating that and you may believe it AS. Anyone that can score 9 goals at this stage of the season , from midfield, all of them from outside the box, would walk into our midfield. On a football forum you have to be kinda semi-sensible as well as downright biased.

Fact Should have been heaved a long time ago! On ref watch, I wonder if Steve Clarke will be complaining when Jones gets cited for a blatant dive? Shocking decision by the referee! We already have a prolific goalscoring midfielder in Naismith, alongside two midfielders who are also scoring regularly in Haring and Lee. I'd rather have that than rely on one long-range specialist who might not have so much joy against better defenders and goalkeepers than he's faced so far. He's scored more than Haring and Lee put together and has faced the same defenders and goalkeepers that we have. Naismith is a striker and should be played up top. His goalscoring record and performance for Scotland prove that

Point is, I'm not sure the point of bigging up our rival's player when we're top of the league and have a much better spread of goals from midfield. Hibs always have a couple of decent players, but whereas last year I'd have taken McGinn, McGeoch and Kamberi in a shot and put them straight in the team, this season we have a demonstrably better team and much, much better and deeper squad. This season so far no first pick Hibs player would get in our team when everyone's fit. Mallan wouldn't get in ahead of Naismith as it stands, he'd be an impact sub for us. Clearly seems to be able to hit a ball though so we'll need to close him down and not give away silly free kicks as others say. Jodami
Can I make a polite request that no one starts another thread along these lines next time we are playing on a Sunday please. I'm reasonably certain that everyone over the age of 8 knows what results we would prefer...
