A play-off with six or seven players would be class!

It would take about 2 hours.

I firmly believe it.

I don't believe you.

He's the greatest player of all time who's been playing good enough to win a few times this year. He's not the force of old but nobody will reach this levels again. He's responsible for the bar being raised for today's players.

This is what The Open is all about 7 or 8 players in with a chance coming down the stretch

Rose birdied the last all 4 days.     That's got to be mega rare at a Carnoustie Open.

If it goes to a play off at -6 , I fancy Justin if they play the 17th and 18th.

Open playoffs are always over four holes. Imagine they'll play final four.

Spieth changing his ball - never misses a trick as we know from the 13th last year

On 5 live earlier, they thought it was 1, 16, 17 and 18.

Can't see Molinari doing any worse than par on 18. They all seem to be getting on in 2

Molinari, Schauffele play off at -7. Neither look like dropping a shot tbh.

it would be wonderful if they did, Speith and Tiger make a birdie and a play off with 7 or 8 great players.

They'll know better than me. 1 is driveable too so it would create good theatre.

Cheers chaps.

Looks like Molinari has won it now unless Schauffele gets one on 18

I'm no fan of Woods but I hope the dick that shouted on his last drive is ejected from the course.

They should be.

It appears to be getting worse too.

Schauffelle could still produce something to take this into added time but has work to do on 17.

Molinari deserved winner - he was out in the worse of the conditions and kept a bogey off his card.

Only him and Rose managed a sub 70 round today?

very deserving winner.

Sublime display of golf under the biggest of pressures. He's hit some form over the last few months and across both tours.

Extra special for him to have Tiger mark his winning round.

Pepperell was - 4 early doors. Day, Stenson and List posted rounds in the 60s early on too. There may be others that didn't get any exposure.

My best ever round was from getting in at 6 in the morning. I was on the tee at 8.

I was at a wedding last night. Played Queens at Gleneagles this morning. The 1st 7 holes are best forgotten. 8, 5, 10, 7, 5, 8, 10!

Does anyone know if a each way cash bet in shop will pay out on a joint fifth finish ie. Fleetwood or am I grasping at straws ? :cornette_dog:

There was no joint 5th. 4 players were tied for 2nd.

If there had been a 5th place tie then, assuming your bet was for 5 places, you would get paid out. Depending on the number of players in the top 5 you would potentially get a reduced pay out though as dead heat rules would apply.

And Fleetwood was T12.
