Sir Bobby Robson: More than a Manager

Got to watch this documentary on a transatlantic flight yesterday, pretty good - some highs and lows: 

 

Highs: 

Learning about how he developed Terry Butcher, and so many homegrown talents at Ipswich - barely touched the transfer market. 

His impact on Jose and Pep cannot be stressed enough, these two basically learned their trade from him - and look at them now

 

Lows: 

The editing moves you around - forwards and back - the various years of his life that it's pretty hard to follow

They don't actually explain the tactics that Bobby deployed on the pitch - could really have done with a 'deep dive' into tactics to make the documentary work

 

It's a good one though, well worth hitting up on iTunes - and to think, George Burley went on to have an impact on us.
