Tazio
I saw ET after a number of years and thought it hadn't aged very well. Then a friend showed it to his kids and they absolutely loved it. So I guess its me that hasn't aged very well in relation to the film. I've outgrown it but it still works for the intended audience. Love Shrek though. I have avoided the Deer Hunter, One flew over the cuckoos nest and Schindler’s list all because of my small minded prejudice against American hype. I recognise I’m probably wrong but can’t bring myself to watch them. I have the same problem with mainstream American literature post Steinbeck/late 50s.
