Email Microsoft directly about it.

Why would you need to cancel a password reset request? Surely you just wouldnt reset it?

We get similar ones sometimes at Uni - except they give us warning about them.

They say something along the lines of - if you dont send us your current password and request a new one your account will be closed down as innactive!

As said already - email microsoft about this.

Guest juvehearts

Well if you have not requested your password to be reset then i'd email the messenger live team through messenger application.

here is the link........

https://account.live.com/HelpCentral.aspx?mkt=en-gb

OR if you think it is spam or youre not too sure & just to play it really safe, then email them from here......

https://support.live.com/eform.aspx?productKey=wlmessengerabuse&ct=eformts&scrx=1

Filling in all the required spaces & copying & pasting your email you were sent from [email protected]

I just clicked on the forgotten password & instructed them to send me a reminder to my inbox & got the same mail as you got.

it looks like if YOU did not send a reminder for this then someone is trying to hack into your email account.

id advise you to use the 1st link i sent you & do some sniffing around, but NOT when you are signed in to your email account.

if you have a second one then do it from there.

hope this helps

juve.
