Bought my brick this morning. Got the certificate, badge and an "I love (HMFC badge) Gorgie" canvas bag.

Happy, happy days.

They are REAL bricks. Not the lightweight bricks you get these days. Got mine at the auction a while back. Weighed a flipping ton! ?

Yup, they aren't just your regular house bricks.  They are massive, and seriously heavy!

I gave mine a good scrub up last night with a little bit of Fairy Liquid and a sponge in the sink - got rid of the dirt, and some of the gunk that was on it.  Looks brilliant now - managed to get one that has hardly any damage on it, just missing a slight bit of the top corner.

Instantly recognisable where it came from by the colour of it - great bit of memorabilia

I bought one at lunch time today as a Christmas present for my Dad. I didn't realise how heavy it would be! I usually walk home from work, maybe not a good idea tonight

The wife has been trying to buy one since July!

She hasn’t had much success or help :(

We were on holiday when the registration was taking place :(

Brilliant.

Any chance I could have that to put up on our living room wall.

Would be a great replacement for our framed wedding bouquet and button holes.

Ooft, ya beauty!

How much cleaning up of the brick did you have to do to get it looking like that?  Mine is still covered in cement/mortar which I'm reluctant to chip off in case it damages the brick underneath.

Excellent. Are you hanging it up? Don't let any small people walk underneath it!

Use patio cleaner to clean the brick. Do it outdoors as the fumes will do some serious damage to your lungs.

The whole thing weighs a ton so I’m not sure about putting it on a wall.

been here before

Aye they were sold out weeks ago.

Just lift a brick from a skip, knock up some sort if certificate and voila.

Whose going to know?

They did Dave. I had my email from the club having expressed interest in getting one and forgot all about it. I realised I had missed the cut off date so popped in on the Monday to the shop more in hope than expectation and I got one.

They were in a shopping trolley next to the counter in the shop.

Got the bag, certificate and plaque as well. Well worth a tenner :)
