If we play like we did against Aberdeen with the exception of scoring a goal we will be right up there. I'm crossing my fingers that Levein can get a Europa spot.

I too hope you get a Europa league spot at the expense of SevCo.

Realistically 17-20 points from your 10 games in Edinburgh would be a good result (imo) and hopefully put you in contention.

7 games in December (if you include your away game against us) will test the squad depth with suspensions, injuries and just plain tiredness

I think the next three games will very much determine how well we do. Anything less than 4 points and we could have a few confidence problems leading into the tynecastle games. St Johnstone we’re poor against in recent seasons, hibs should take care of itself and surely the SFA’s darlings will have the usual helping hands

TBH a draw in each of the next 3 tough games would not be a disaster.  The next 6 all at Tynecastle are very winnable, and that has to be our target!

I wouldn’t have posted it if I hadn’t felt it necessary, evidently.

I would think getting 17 - 20 points would be pushing it a bit although not impossible, I don't think we have the squad to get that many points but with Levein his home record with Hearts is good.

The top two spots are taken by yourself and Celtic. I think Rangers will get 3rd as I think against the rest of the league, they'll accumulate more points than us.

Motherwell and definitely St Johnstone might have something to say about were we finish.

Agree with this, just not sure if we will have that sort of consistency and injuries seem to be creeping into the squad

For sure, it will be a rollercoaster ride

I don't think we'll have the squad to cope with all the games and competition we'll have for a Europa League spot, if St Johnstone can do it we certainly can. I'd take top six and a semi final appearance and we go again next season.

Not only is it 7 in a row at Tynecastle, the first 6 of them are all winnable games with Motherwell being the only top 6 side.

It is a tricky 3 before and after that spell.

21st Oct - St Johnstone - Murrayfield

24th Oct - Wee team - Away

28th Oct - The Rangers - Murrayfield

5th Nov - Kilmarnock

19th Nov - Partick Thistle

25th Nov - Ross County

2nd Dec - Hamilton

9th Dec - Motherwell

13th Dec - Dundee

16th Dec - Celtic

23rd Dec - St Johnstone - Away

27th Dec - Wee team

26 out of 33 points is the absolute max we could take in that time IMO which would probably put us in 3rd place not far behind Aberdeen.

I think we will take 20-22 in that time which will see us 4th or 5th.

15-17 points...   Probably 4th or 5th at Xmas

I will frankly be shocked if we don't manage 20 points in that span. 25 is probably the best we could hope for but 21-23 seems about right as a prediction. 15 points from 11 home games is what Cathro got us last season in the league and there's no chance at all we'll be that bad through this stretch.

I had the first two of the ten as draws, so though I feel desperatly disappointed after Easter Road we are actually a point ahead of where I thought. Still hoping when we get back to Tynecastle we can build some momentum.

So in a 12 game stretch you have us scoring 3 or more goals 7 times. SEVEN!

Are you aware in the last 20 SPL games we have scored 3 or more goals in exactly ZERO of them. Not once. Nada, nil, zilch times. And that we have only scored 2 goals in 4 of those 20 games.

There's nothing much between the clubs other than Celtic, which means one nil wins and draws for many games....  3 wins and your in third place.

20,000 seats for euro games is a great incentive.....
