Francis Albert
How refreshing to get back to worrying about Brexit and associated scaremongering. 15 years of slightly slower GDP growth. SectionDJambo
Things are going to be so good that Nigel Farage is thought to be moving to Germany. That would be a bonus though. Time will tell which point of view about the benefits or damage was correct. But let’s not allow any shoving blame for the lack of a free trade agreement onto the EU. They were only ever going to play a hard game. The British position of them needing us more than them was just typical arrogance. Any thought of the U.K. getting similar deals that Canada and Australia have are nonsense, given the difference in geographical location. "We've fished your waters for hundreds of years so we should be able to carry on doing so". The EU approach has changed since the penny dropped over the pandemic. The Euro Zone is ****ed and its everyone for themselves. The spectre of the collapse of European capitalism is on the horizon and nobody has a plan. Kicking the Brits might save them a few bob but the real hope is to get into bed with China. It might work and at least its a plan, which Boris seems to be sadly lacking. When it claims the UK will have full sovereignty over its waters except for the fish in those waters is that good faith?
