Hearts Heritage
Not sure if this has been posted before. We had a visitor to the Museum who told us Wilson Wood passed away on 13th June. Tommy Brown
Had a physio session on my back over 30 years ago from him. H enjoyed talking football, more rangers days chat though. seemed a good guy.
Darkwhisky7
I remember him, must have been in the seventies, played in a very average Hearts squad if memory serves me right.

Macros
Wilson treated me for a back problem I had a few years ago, always happy to chat about Hearts, sad to hear of his passing.
avhudtheteeshirt
I had physio from him at his practice at Whitburn where he worked with his daughter a couple of years ago. Used to talk to him about the 6-5 game in the cup with Dundee United in 1967, he said that the United players were arguing over bonus payments in the dressing room before the game. He said that the players heads were all over the place, and hence they lost. It was the next again season he moved to Hearts. RIP Wilson.
Deevers
Brought into a very poor Hearts team at the time. Just about the time we started a pretty steep decline that eventually led to relegation. Another sad passing.

Groatallar
On the list of those answering the Q: "Scottish footballers whose first name is a surname'? Wilson Wood Campbell Money Walker McCall Thomson Allan Crawford Baptie etc. etc. Crawford Boyd although he might not meet the footballer criteria! jambos are go!
Wilson Wood was a decent midfielder in a poor Hearts Team. As I remember he was embroiled in an extended contract dispute with Dundee United before he joined us. An early Bosman type dispute and to his credit he refused to be treated like a serf. Eventually a way was found for him to move on rather than let it go to the courts. IIRC. RIP.
Sherbet
Did we not swap George Fleming for Wilson wood? My recollection of Wilson is in a 3 2 defeat at parkhead the midweek after rangers beat them 1-0 on the league cup final. We were 2 up 2 goals from Donald ford . In the second half we started Pissin about you all know what happens next I was in tears afterwards
