Is "Goldfish" a new street term for some kind of designer drug?

Have you got some or not?

Is there a fair anywhere in Edinburgh? Thats if you're any good at chucking darts at big cards, or an expert with a ring (ooer).  In fact, forget the fish, get a gonk. They live longer.

Do not buy fish from pets at home. I made that mistake once, ended up killing off 15 of my established fish as well as the two I bought from them.

Dobbies used to be good but I don't know what they are like now that the fish dept. is run by an outside company (it is in Dunfermline anyway).

The pets at home fish came from Dunfermline as well but I don't think any of their shops are set up with specialists in each dept. just a load of kids on minimum wage which doesn't really fill me with confidence.

There is a specialist fish shop on Kirkwood Place/Lower London Road that I haven't used personally but have seen good reviews of it online. May be worth a look.

any ideas?

James Pringle Woolen Mill in Leith. There is some kind of franchise set up through the back where all the golf stuff used to be.  No expert but seems decent.

Fitzroy Pointon

Are the travelling shows not allowed to offer them as a prize now. I remember when I was wee and the shows came and winning one every year. Problem was pished folk winning them and either throwing them away or hanging the bags from bushes on their way back to the pub.

hearts related nickname

Me and a mate were out on a big night and on the way home we decided to stop by a pet shop. The reason is unclear now. But my friend decided to steal a goldfish.

Got back got the flat, of course we had no where to put our new pal. In our induced insanity we decided that a biscuit tin was the most suitable container. With that problem solved we had to decide what to feed it, we couldn't go back to the pet store for obvious reasons. So after a quick Google search pieces of apple was the most obvious choice. We didn't have any apple but we had a pear, an obvious substitute. Anyway, we sorted the wee guy out with some new digs and some snacks until we became functioning members of society. Unfortunately, the poor bugger just stayed stationary, staring at its own reflection.

Maybe this should have gone in that thread where people were kicking foxes in the head

Dobbies is now Fishkeeper Scotland (Maidenhead Aquatics) and is pretty good.

Also would recommend Eden Aquatics on Gorgie Road.

Have goldfish in a pond. Amazing how big they grow and should probably only be kept outside or in a large tank.
