Debut 4
Following on from Drylaws thread about the extra Uefa spot it seems the SC winners will enter the Uefa Cup in the last qualifying round from next season while the third placed team in the SPL will have to play two-two legged games before the group stage, and the 4th place playing even more! Fair or not?(regards 3rd spot) If it is or it isn`t, it gives clubs just a little more reason to go full out for the Cup.

Don't know how they can justify a cup comp rewarding a team more than finishing higher in the league but the Scottish Cup is the SFA cup and they allocate the positions so there's no arguement. Charlie-Brown
UEFA want to boost the prestige of many cup competitions throughout europe - previously they wanted to offer a CL place to the cup winners of the nations with best co-efficients but this was against the wishes of the top leagues although they compromised and cup-winners were given better status in the Uefa cup.
