Pre Season Training

Anyone know when it commences

I know we are still looking for a manager but it seems we are not even attempting to make appropiate preparations for next season

Do they really intend to hand this new manager a first team squad of around 40 on the first day of training

Yes the new manager needs to be able to do somethings himself, but come on romanov do something about the obvious deadweight and at least save the manager some work

What is the point you hope to make?

The point is once again we are repeating the mistakes of last season and unless someone at our club gets there act together very soon, another disastorous start looks likely

We have far too much deadweight and this creates negative morale, the new manager if he is appointed is going to have limited time as it is to build his team, we do not need him wasting this on shipping out deadweight or dealing with grievances of said deadweight

Vlad and his people should get there fingers and checkbooks/blackbooks out and move on/pay off some of the deadweight and save the manager at least a few days/weeks worth of work when he arrives

Our club seems to grind to a stop during the summer, unlike any other, and just start again on the first day of pre season

Erm.. lower your asking price? Send them back to Kaunas, send them out on loan, release the lower paid youngsters who wont cut the mustard.

Are you really that thick?

I guess you must be, instead of contributing to the discussion you pull someone up on there grammer... how very grown up.

Anyway, ill tell you why none of the players are being moved, because none will be coming in, the same can be said about a manager. It'll be Tolie and Frail again next season, but at least we tried to get McGhee tho, so its all good and Vlad will be forgiven.

Absolutely Scandelous.

Whilst I agree that there is obvious deadweight in the squad, surely with everyone hoping for a manager to come in with full autonomy, it would be his place to decide who he wants to keep and cull from our massive squad.

If Romanov starts chopping names off the wage bill, someone somewhere is going to have a moan about it.

We can only hope (if/when) the new man who comes in will easily identify the crap in the squad and be allowed to send them on their way. He should be the one calling the shots, not us, not Vlad.
