And what about Marilyn Clark? Was she a cow as bus shelters suggested?

A big fat one who had AIDS apparently and was aged 34 and from The Jewel.

Was she the one alleged to have engaged in unnatural coitus?

When I worked in the sample room in the mid 90s there was a lass called Marilyn clark working there. She left the pub at short notice just a couple of weeks before all that graffiti appeared.

Was that when it was tiki themed, or something like that

You're thinking of the time before it went 'Sample Room'.

The veritable dive of a pub called The Blue Lagoon.

Shitehole and a half.

Wasn't the Blue Lagoon on Dalry Road where the big Indian place is now?

Was that not Buggys?

Blue Lagoon was where the Caley Sample is. I worked in Kennerty Dairies for a spell, mid 80's, and visited it more than I should have.

My memory is getting confused. I just remember being in a pub there with blue neon lighting in it. I've obviously confused the two in my head. In particular I remember the blue neon as I went on a date there and realised the lighting made every plook and blemish incredibly obvious.

The euro version I seem to remember was 'McCabe de Gras'

Anyway I'm sure the offender lived close to Longstone bus depot - can't quite remember the details but something to do with drugs and informing the Police.

Or the above may be a lot of tosh.

"PAM, I LOVE YOU. AM SORRY. PHONE ME"

Gave me a good chuckle each time I went past that

The  Kebab House  near to Maplin's was originally  Eric Brown's (Eric was a famous golfer for those to young to know). It was renamed Buggys and then became Benson's Cafe Bar.
