Deodato
Interesting article. http://www.paragkhanna.com/home/2016/7/12/why-brexit-should-inspire-more-breakups Parag Khanna's core thesis is that countries are dead and cities rule - so let cities form their own alliances and forget about countries. I can see it being deliberately provocative but sits nicely with what matters more - the World Cup (countries) or the Champions League (clubs that represent cities). The "W" in 'www' doesn't stand for political borders, and nor does much of what has followed its invention either. See what you think, and feel free to comment on the economic boost that would accrue to Edinburgh if we hived off Glasgow. Eumir Deodato
Boris
An interesting concept, one that arguably already has a foothold. The UK for example, is centred around London. London being one of those truly international cities. So as long as London does alright, the ripple from that should (stress should!) see the rest of the country alright.
