He didn't look like a development player to me though. Just had a look on the Galatasary website, and unfortunately the English version of the page is still under construction. He seems to have been highly rated at some point although his recent CV isn't that impressive. I'm inclined to think that this rumour might have come about after a "Turkish-looking player" was spotted at Saturday's game and someone put 2+2 together, although I could be wrong. I think it's fine to bring in a loanee in the January window if there is a position we need strengthening, or maybe someone we have a realistic chance of signing at the end of the loan if all goes well.
