Been using Thunderbird for 6 months now, it blows Outlook Express out the water!

So what is your preferred client?

Was thinking about giving it a bash.

What are the water blowing points?

Say What Again

Only ever use the web based Gmail for my own emails.

We have to use a programme called Lotus Notes (by IBM) at work. It's awful.

Never had connection problems with Thunderbird, that seems to be a regular complaint with OE. General layout and ease of use is better. It has all the tools you'll need as well

Commander Harris

I use the Opera client integrated into the browser, there is none better.

I think I might have mentioned Opera before ;)

if you are familiar with many of the features in gmail, they were based on concepts from the opera mail client. except opera does it faster.

Thunderbird is far and away the best email client I've used. Apart from the usual things like multiple email accounts and a good calendar add-on, I can do Live Messenger chat and internet browsing all inside Thunderbird. You can also easily configure it to handle webmail like hotmail and so on if that's what you use. I think the only feature that could be added to round it off would be the automated "out of office" message when you're on hols and won't be back for a fortnight - other than that, it's top notch.
