TICKETS GO ON SALE (ONLINE ONLY) FROM 4PM TODAY!

Salt ?n? Sauce Promotions, the company behind The Stand Comedy Club and The Assembly Rooms Fringe, is extremely proud to present their biggest and most ambitious August programme ever.

COMEDY AT THE HEART OF THE FRINGE ? THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN

In 2015 The Stand Comedy Club will present no less than seven venues dedicated to the best in contemporary and up-and-coming stand up, with an enviable line-up featuring established stars such as Katherine Ryan, Simon Munnery, Stephen K Amos, Mark Watson, Paul Sinha, Alun Cochrane, Ivor Dembina, Steve Hall and Mitch Benn. They will be rubbing shoulders with returning Stand favourites like Gavin Webster, Seymour Mace, Martin Mor and Jo Caulfield, and rising new stars such as Andrew Doyle, Michael J Dolan, Dana Alexander and Lost Voice Guy.

STAND-UP FOR LOCAL TALENT

And never let it be said we?ve forgotten where we came from. We helped launch the careers of massive Scottish stand-up stars Frankie Boyle and Kevin Bridges, and we?re still providing a platform for local comedy talent, with shows from Gary Little, Vladimir McTavish, Fern Brady, Chris Forbes, John Scott and many more.

THE RETURN OF ST ANDREW SQUARE GARDEN

After the success of last year?s venture into St Andrew Square Garden, The Stand in the Square and The Famous Spiegeltent will once again be located in the newest Festival hub, providing comedy, the best in cabaret and variety, and a wealth of fantastic musical performances. Plus free music, relaxing terraces and some of the most mouth-watering food the city can offer.

THE ASSEMBLY ROOMS FRINGE COMEDY

Meanwhile, in George Street, there?s a plethora of top drawer stand-up to enjoy in the opulent surroundings of Stand sister venue The Assembly Rooms, with shows from living legends like Stewart Lee, Stewart Francis and Tom Stade, and the highly-anticipated performances of ?The Missing Hancocks? with world famous actor Kevin McNally.

BEST THEATRE ON THE FRINGE

The Assembly Rooms also boasts one of the finest theatre programmes on the Festival, including the return of Pip Utton, who takes on his greatest challenge yet in ?Playing Maggie?, and a new run of one of 2014?s most popular shows ?Bette Davis Ain?t for Sissies?.

MUSIC TO YOUR EARS

And as if our nightly musical performances in The Famous Spiegeltent weren?t enough, you can also dance the night away on George Street with Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, celebrate Sinatra?s centenary with Todd Gordon, or be awed by the timeless sounds of the Soweto Spritual Singers and the return of the Township Voices Dloko Choir.

THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT!

We?ve also extended our Kids show section even further, giving parents and children even more choice of fun comedy shows and educational theatre productions that are so entertaining the little ones probably won?t even realise they?re learning!

SPOKEN WORD ? THE PERSONAL TO THE POLITICAL AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN

And our Spoken Word programme is bigger than ever! The referendum may be over, the election may be only around the corner, but we?re still as political as ever this August. Social justice is very high on the agenda, with exclusive talks from Ricky Tomlinson, Jon Ronson, Owen Jones and many more!

But it?s not all serious. Ever wondered What Happened to The Likely Lads? Why not hear it straight from the horse?s mouth? Rodney Bewes will be with us all throughout August, discussing his time on the classic TV show, plus Ian Lavender, Liz Lochhead, Virginia Ironside and Carol Ann Duffy.
