They never seem to put K on sale until under 100 tickets in other areas.....sensible I suppose to fill the other sections .. K used for late purchasers and walk ups. K was not on sale at the shop/ticket office this afternoon.

OK Cheers I was just thinking about youngsters who maybe prefer sitting in the lower section whch are obviously cheaper, but wIth these areas sold out online if the club may have started selling them in K at TO

The Treasurer
will be over 15K Doug, maybe approaching 15.500 Probably about right CJ. Doubt we will get the same crowd as Falkirk but that will be due to Livi bringing much fewer fans than Falkirk, not because fewer Hearts fans will be there. Respect to The Treasurer for using "fewer fans" instead of the incorrect "less fans" that you see often. For instance, the following sentence is correct: Every game, there are fewer fans at Easter Road than the previous match. The following sentence is incorrect. Every game, there are less fans at Easter Road than the previous match. Here endeth the lesson. The Grammar Police.

Tasavallan
Our Dot Counters do a magnificent job and I am sure the sell-out crowds are due in no small part to them being able to publish on JKB both the quantity and the locations of the available seats. Thus adding revenue to the Tynecastle coffers. I have bought seats for the Tas family purely due to being able to see on JKB where there are empty seats. Well done. davieholt
I guess most on here are grateful to Clerry and others for their assiduous dot counting but I wonder why the Hearts website doesn't provide this info automatically? All the metrics are already there... I also commend The Treasurer on his grammar and would like to add a plea that slavering broadcasters stop saying that a team is 'within' 2 points of the team above them when they mean that the team is exactly 2 points behind. 'Within' means 'inside' so 'within' 2 points implies that the team is either 1 or 0 points behind. You would have thought that one of the prerequisites for any journalists would be a passing knowledge of the language! Back on topic. Good turn out and I hope the game is better than the last one. While I agree that 'fewer' looks and sounds better - and I always use it - you will still get grammarians who maintain that 'less' is OK.

It does create a bit of impetus for ticket sales, IMO. I doubt very much it makes a huge difference but anything that attracts attention to the upcoming game is a good thing

I doubt very much it makes a huge difference but anything that attracts attention to the upcoming game is a good thing I think it's safe to assume that anyone reading JKB, never mind a dot counting thread, will be aware of an upcoming game. As for the gradually increasing crowd numbers, it might have something to do with being top of the league and scoring a rake of goals.

Hackney Hearts
Looks like crowd will be in region of 15,500 Looking back to the Falkirk game.... Our capacity is approx 17,300, right? Two sections of the Roseburn (L & M) for away support/segregation = approx 1,400 So the total available to Hearts fans is approx 15,900 The home sections were sold out... but the crowd figure was given as 16,206, which would mean there were only 306 Falkirk fans - there seemed to be at least twice that. Was this just a case of people not using their tickets? (are we calculating crowds like that now, or tickets sold?)
