I really think that our next manager has to have a winners mentality. As much as I have great fondness for the formative years of watching Hearts, the whole lot of them were losers. They never has the edge to get them over the winning line. IMO As a result, the ones that have gone into management after their playing careers are showing the same traits in their new profession. Someone like McGhee might not have made a huge success in their early years as a manager (in the main, down to the wrong choice of clubs) but I know who would win more respect from me as a player.
