Jambothump
Had pointed out to me today I was being handed in change a very attractive pound coin with thistle emblem on it. Mint condition, on going through my recent change, I have another five of them, all mint condition. Were these only released after the vote on September this year ? Make us feel wanted ? Totally new design to previous Nationalistic Royal Mint coinage. Did anybody see them prior to September this year ?
swavkav
There is 3 or 4 backs to the pound coin, a Thistle, A Leek , A crown & something else,( might be a harp) been like that for years,
swavkav
Harp is right yeah. The standard for the Queen isn't it? Never look at my change that closely. Missus spends it too fast. The backs are ment to represent the 4 countries than make up Great Britian. ( well that's my guess anyway)
