If we were 12th and they were 11th that would be deemed a success. This season of utter shambles where we have been playing some of the worst football ever seen and had some of the poorest results for over 30 years has still seen us finish a mere 4 points and 2 league places behind them. If we'd had a proper infrastructure at the club this season 3rd place would have been a skoosh. They've had probably as good a season as they possibly could given what they are working with. And it's probably as good as it will ever get for them as long as STF and RP are running the show despite the ridiculously stupid expectations of their deluded support that they should be challenging the OF and getting into Europe every season. There's currently a thread over the road entitled " reality check " where some sensible soul is attempting to dampen the flames of ambition most of them seem to have but , needless to say , he's being shouted down by almost every reply.
