Maroon Mayhem
Did anyone see the advert last night during the champions league final? Thought it was a great idea till I did the maths. ?115 for the unit and ?15 per 5 litre keg! Works out at ?1.70 a pint assuming no wastage and you have to pay off the unit on top! Will stick to cans of Bud methinks.
christhejambo
They've been around for a while, and i really wanted one. As you say though- prices dont stack up too well. You also have to pre-chill the keg (which takes up a bit of space in the fridge or freezer). Nice gadget if you can afford it, but until they standardise it to fit any keg, or the price comes down, i'll be sticking to my normal brand. tommythejambo
I was the same when I first seen it. And you know with a 5-litre keg (Which is most likely dodgy) the first pint will be a write-off. If the keg was a bit bigger maybe but it's a no from me. If I want a keg at home I'd opt for one of those Heinken ones, got one a while ago and it was barry.
