Killed in an accident yesterday in N.Ireland.....

Came off at 160 doing what he loved, even worse to think his brother was killed 8 years ago in an accident.

Thoughts to his family and 3 kids.

A TT Legend.

Speed kills

It cand do yes.

And your point is?

So - no need to turn a thread that fans do care about (wont name them but sure they will be on) in to one about speeding. A sports legend has been killed maybe you dont care but I do as my family knew him well and I'm sure others will.

large sets of balls in the Dunlop family. How they could do what they did in the 1st place I've no idea. Especially after Robert lost his brother, had a massive wreck himself at IoM and still got back out there.

Anyway, RIP Robert.

Well said, remember reading a few years after Roberts massive crash in 94 that he almost retired but couldnt help himself.

Hope his laddies dont get the fear.... that family is prob one of the most successfull sporting families known.

My uncle died in the TT and theirs something warming knowing that he died doing something he loved, knowing full well of the dangers.... Hats off I say.

It's tragic. The Dunlops were down to earth blokes despite their amazing records. RIP Robert.

Sad news indeed - how many have we lost in the various fields of motorsport just recently? :(

The White Cockade

Tragic

Heart goes out to his family

Robert was a great rider and a great character

Was booked on the ferry tonight to go over and watch the North West 200

but with Robert going so soon after Martin Finnegan I just haven't the heart

Was a big Joey fan and still haven't got over his death

Still i'll be out marshalling at the TT lets hope its a safe one

RIP Robert
