Buffalo Bill
A wonderful day; a weekend I'll always treasure. From the hell of 3/5/86 to the heaven of 16/5/98 - proud to be a Hearts fan. To a man, those players KNEW they going to do it for us that day. And by Christ they did it! I might have to get the newspapers down from the attic. No doubt I'll shed a tear and raise a toast to the team that brought back the Scottish Cup. ...and I'll raise another in the name of Tam Flogel's flick. Buffalo Bill . bighusref
At this time ten years ago, I was waking up in a flat in Dennistoun, looking at the last few cans of Heineken Cold Filtered (remember the big green cans?) and towards that big breakfast pack from Somerfield. The pain was already setting in, I needed to get back on the drink and quick. Further updates as the day goes on.

jambobrett
Hard to think that was 10 years ago. Doesn't seem so long. I was only 12! Still remember most of the day but in particular, standing in Celtic Park, near the empty part (i.e. where there was no stand) behind the goals, and thinking that the whole ground was going to collapse. The stadium was literally vibrating with all the jambos jumping about. I also remember the guy behind us going to grab my dad when Adam scored, but my dad moving to grab me and the bloke tumbling down about 12 rows, laying there a second, us all fearing the worst, before he jumped up and started going nuts again! Mr Maroon
When I woke up that morning, I actually felt Hearts were going to do the business that day. It was just one of these 'gut feeling' moments. Proved correct, but: (a) I didn't think Hearts would score in the first minute (courtesy of penalty given by a Glasgow based referee at a Glasgow venue against a Glasgow team!) ( and the tension in the last 8 minutes plus stoppage time was unbearable. I missed the celebartions on the Sunday, as I was heading to Liverpool for a Union conference. Happy days indeed. scottish_chicP
I was 12 and was so gutted that I got sent home while the rest of the bus went to celebrate. (Not quite the same but I made up for the drinking in 2006)

bighusref
At this time, having negotiated our way back to the flat at Dennistoun, and called a Hibs fan or twenty, we were setting off on our journey back to Edinburgh. The major issue right now is the Orange march running along the main street (Duke Street?) back to Queen Street. We were not welcomed by them and had to hot foot it forwards!
