maroon hills remembered Posted May 18, 2014 Share Posted May 18, 2014 In the early 60's, possibly around 60 - 64, Willie Bauld wrote a column for one of the above newspapers in which he attended a school football match after which he gave a report on the game. He also had his picture taken in a team photo. I wonder if there is any old (or ancient) KB'ers out there who can recall this and if so can remember which was it, pink or green ? ie the news or dispatch. Bellevue Posted August 18, 2020 Share Posted August 18, 2020 I know it's been a while since you posted this, but I actually have an image of an article Willie Bauld wrote called 'Willie Bauld Views Bellevue — One Defensive Slip Pips Edinburgh Side' which someone has written on to say 'News Tues 4 Dec 1962' so I assume it's the Evening News although I'm not familiar with its design from then. It describes a match between Holyrood Secondary from Glasgow and what was then Bellevue Secondary, now Drummond High, from Edinburgh. If you're still interested, I could send you the images.
