Just wasting time on the net and found some interesting stuff which led me to the following trivia question:

Goldstone Wonder

The Ritchie Arms*? More likely than the Vicious Arms or the Spungen Arms

*Sid Vicious's real name was John Ritchie, i think.

Some interesting answers but no, its none of the above.

You'll not have heard of the murder / suicide but if you get the name of the pub and Google it, an interesting tale arises.

I'll leave it a while longer if anyone wants to play further.

Time's up Gary. I need to know.

It used to be called the Midlothian Arms

This is a map of Edinburgh from 1893.

On the right hand side, there is a red arrow pointing to the right. Dont click on it but instead move the cursor to the far left of the same row. When you hold the cursor over the correct square, it will show it as III.10.10.

Click on that to see Tynecastle, Gorgie Road and a somewhat truncated McLeod Street as it looked in the days of Bobby Walker. Incidentally, no reference to the ground being called Tynecastle Park.

As to the murder and suicide, check out this New York Times Report from 1883.

The couple were from Edinburgh and named their New York bar after their favourite Edinburgh boozer - the Midlothian Arms.
