I see this will be taking place this summer. Scotland will be playing their group games in the footballing hotbeds of Burton and Walsall, with the standout game being against England in Burton on the late May bank holiday Monday.

Tickets are stupidly cheap at less than a fiver i think.

Does anybody know if we will have any players in the squad or if players were involved in qualifiers?

FootballFirst is your man with the knowledge but a quick scan of the last U19 team had Nicholson and Gary Oliver (wrongly labelled as Scot Oliver I think) in the starting line up as well as Adam King (OK not technically Hearts but we'll claim him). Jordan McGhee and Patterson have been involved in recent U21 squads, McGhee is definitely young enough to play U19 but I'm not sure about Patterson. http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/international_fixture_details.cfm?page=2856&matchID=139706

Thanks,

Looks like at least a couple of the boys could be in the squad then.

I'm sure Football First will confirm.

I'd expect that Sam Nicholson and Gary Oliver will be in the squad. As you say Jordan McGhee is young enough to play, (also next season too), however he is being fast tracked to the U21s so I don't know if he will be called into the squad for the Elite round games. Dundee Utd's Ryan Gauld and John Souttar are others who are eligible for the U19s, but may not be selected.

Callum Paterson is too old at U20.

Much appreciated FF. It's not often I get to see Hearts and Scotland youngsters 5 minutes walk from my front door.

Looking forward to it.

The Scotland U17 squad for the UEFA finals in Malta, starting 9th May, has been announced today and the Hearts boys have missed out. Aaron Scott must have been close to selection with his recent performances with the U20s, but I guess the selectors decided to stick with the squad that got them through the last round.
