Maroon Sailor

Starts tomorrow

Can anyone stop Rocket Ronnie ?

Maybe not but I've gone for Selby @ 12/1

He's due a decent tournament at The Crucible

What are the odds for Ronnie to win?

Pretty skimpy

6/5 or 5/4

Perrie Mans for me this year. Long overdue a crucible victory.

Should be Perrenial Mans. You take him every year !

Ronnie seems to have found a new level, he's too good and will win his 6th title this year.

Mon Higgins.

Hopefully its good this year, was decent last year but once it got to the semi's you knew no one was going to stop Ronnie.

Destruction Derby

Probably have a bet on Neil Robertson to win outright then see what matches are on tomorrow for a bet if anything is decent to put on.

Ronnie on BBC2 just now. First frame still, the boy he's playing Robin Hull looks a decent player. Tester for Ronnie for his first match.

Has anyone spotted the grown man in the Dundee United top yet?

Hopefully you snooker enthusiasts can keep us updated.

Nah, but that guy who wears the Coventry shirts is in his usual place.

Maguire in danger of getting rinsed in the 1st round for the 2nd year running.

Maguire shows a bit of fire and desire to take it to the wire.

From 4-8 and 6-9 down he has taking it to the final frame.

Maguire heading back up to Weegieland.

Frustrating as he has the game to be a World Champion but comes up short time and time again.

Higgins v McManus first frame of the day is like watching a game at your local snooker hall. Reds bunched on the cushions and no colours on their spots.

They might have to come back tonight if the rest of the session continues like this.

It's been a cracking 1st round this year. Half of the matches so far have went to the final frame and there has been a 10-8 and 10-7 in another two.

Higgins 3-7 McManus

That frame only took about 45 minutes !

McManus trousers putting Higgins off imo.

Good clearance from Higgins to make it 4-8. McManus had a great chance to make it 9-3 though.

Wouldn't bet against a Higgins comeback from here. 9-3 would have been too much but if he takes this one before the interval then game on.

Is it just me who is pretty bored of snooker just now? Ronnie is so far ahead of the rest that it almost isn't worth watching.

Other than him, the game has absolutely zero characters at all.

I only watch the World Championship now with any real interest and even then because I put a bet on.

Selby did his best to feck that up for me as well !

10 - 7 McManus, Higgins blew an easy pot on the blue to make it 9-8. Good match.

Rocket on the rocks. Trails 9-7 overnight.

Perry should have won the 16th frame for a 4 frame cushion.

Great last couple of frames from Ronnie. The whole match it looked like he was purposely putting himself under pressure just so he could produce that at the end.

He will only get better.

Have to agree - I always felt he would win this match even though he was never in control of it.

Once he got his nose in front (eventually) there normally is only one winner.

I know Davis and Hendry were great players, unbeatable on their day but O'Sullivan just oozes so much class I have to say he is the best player I have ever watched.

As a natural player - O'Sullivan is unmatched, now or by any player gone by. But I still rate Hendry more as a match player and temperament that was unrivalled.

Enjoyed Ron's final four frames today to win that match and I am really enjoying McManus / Docherty currently.

Cracking afternoon on offer tomorrow/today:

O'Sullivan v Murphy

Trump v Robertson

The Thunder from down under needs just one more century for a ton of tons in one season. Great achievement!

I hate Ronnie's 'flawed genius' persona...especially when John Virgo has his tongue right up his arse.

He's just an exceptional snooker player who happens to be a bit of a ######.

Always watch the worlds tho.

Really want Selby to win this.

He's doing well to stay with Ronnie.

Thought O'Sullivan would run away with it at one stage - but Selby has now won 3 in a row to trail 9-10

Selby has actually won 5 in a row

From 10-5 down he's levelled it at 10-10

Superb from Selby. Couple of mistakes from Ronnie have been punished with some excellent snooker from him.

I've not watched much of it this year but if it looks like Selby might win I'll watch the final session just to see O'Sullivan getting his arse handed to him.
