Assuming we will sign no one of decent standard during the summer.

What starting 11 would you like to see next season?

That's the thing that has really got my goat this season. That team this season (with the exception of Pinilla) has been pretty close to the starting XI this season.

That set of players should surely have had enough skill to have had a far better season that we have mustered. So, lack of organisation, lack of motivation, lack of heart, lack of giving a monkeys?

Lack of a manager. Frail is okay tactically, he hasn't made any disasterous decision, apart from the couple of OF games, his substitutions - I have understood them, his starting lineups - I have understood them. His motivation, something we don't see, I don't know if he has that quality, that is what has been wrong with us since certain employees departed from the club, little motivation to do well.

We have the players IMO to finish in the top 3, we just need the right man to steer us in the right direction.

Agree. Most times this season I've thought "Ok, fair enough" when I've seen the starting line-ups. There has been the odd cranky selection, but on paper they look good enough to beat St Mirren, Falkirk, Killie, ICT, etc, etc.

Then during the 90mins, there is a total lack of gumption.

And we basically throw-in the towel by selling Velicka.

I think Frail has tried very hard with this, for that reason I feel he deserves to stay at the club, he is good at the tactics side of the game, possibly a role as a sporting director or an assistant manager. IMO he doesn't have what it take (just now) to be manager of this club.

Frail had a good impact, I think the whole thing has just fizzled out, the players just aren't working hard enough during games.

I actually think we have a decent framework around which to build a team around for next season, provided we get a decent manager in place...

I would build from a base of:

Banks (don't think he has done anything wrong?)

Neilson....New Signing....Berra...Wallace

Kingston...Jonsson....New Signing....Driver

...........Nade.............Glen/Mole

If forced to pick from the current players only, based on what I've seen:

Banks

Neilson

Wallace

Berra

Karipidis

Kingston

McGowan

Jonsson

Driver

Nade

Glen

Even that is not tood bad a team IMHO, with the likes of Mikoluinas and Paluzeulos in reserve..a good manager is the key though.

I DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOU GUYS BUT if there isnt major positive changes to the playing staff and managerial staff over the summer i won't be back to watch a man destroy the club i love i will wait, protest and wait some more until he is gone and will SHOUT GOOD RIDANCE TO A TYRANT when he leaves our club the feck alone then i shall take up my interest again (i.e who will be the starting eleven for next season)whether we be playing in the 3rd division or not.

Although I am not totally convinced about some of the above players, if you take that team and get rid of the rest of the 1st team squad we could make a strong challenge by adding 3 or 4 new players. It would also provide incentive and opportunity for young lads when injuries and suspensions start to bite. And think how much the salary bill would be cut.

Here's one for you guys..... does anyone think that not one player that started the game v Gretna will start the 1st game of the season.

I think it's possible..... possibily Banks/Wallace and Kingston would start but I suspect Kingston will be off and we will have a new No1.

I'd want to start the season with

Banks

Robbie New Man/Karapidis Berra New Man

Kingston New Man Ruben Driver

New Man New Man/Pinillia (pretty much a new man)

I think Banks will get an injury at some point and MacDonald will come in and keep him out of the team.

We need at least 2 proven strikers and a Hartley type player in midfield. I am happy to see Ruben sit in a play the simply passes to start moves off. If we could get a new winger in I would move Kingston in one.

These 2 absolute wage thieves should crawl on their knees and beg gorgiveness from EACH and every Hearts fan

We are owed at least 20 weeks wages from badge kissing Kingston and about 2 years worth from shagger

Why do people continue to favour this wage thief?

Pinilla has been nothing but trouble since day one. apart from a back flick to Bednar at Pittodrie he has done nothing.

It is players like that parasite that is making our club crippled with debt

Get him out now!

I'm reading a few posters saying players should leave because they earn high wages. I have said this as well, however getting rid of players is a board matter, next season, I as a fan would like to see Kingston, Pinilla, Nade etc play for Hearts, if the management/any other forces up there want to sell any of them, then that's up to them but if they are still a Hearts player and good enough, they should play no matter how much they are earning.

Assuming these guys were all fit, well coached by a decent manager (Graig Levein PLEASE!), I think this squad would be a threat in the SPL and secure third spot AT LEAST:

(3-4-1-2)

Banks

Karipidis

Kenneth (Dundee Utd)

Berra

Foster (Aberdeen)

Dorman (St Mirren)

Jonsson

Wallace (Sunderland)

Kingston

Stokes (Sunderland)

Pinilla

Subs from: McDonald, McGowan, Rapnik, Palazuelos, Screpis, Aquair, Wallace, Driver, Miko, Visconte, Glen, Clarkson (Well)

Cost of "ins" - around ?1.5m (wages perhaps ?18k per week)

Out: Basso, Neilson, Zaliukas, Goncalves, McCann, Cesnauskas, Stewart, Mole, Elliott, Nade, Bednar, Beslija

Income from "outs": - around ?4m (thanks to Bednar sale) Wages saved perhaps ?45k per week

As I see it, a net influx of funds of perhaps ?4m next year and an ongoing annual saving on wages of around ?1.4m.....with a more capable, more Scottish style squad. Simple, isn't it??!!
