I'd expect there to be a few changes from the side that won the cup semi at the weekend for tonight's game.

May see Hamilton, Paterson, Carrick and Nicholson drop with Ridgers, Ford, Walker and McCallum coming in.

Celtic will certainly be looking to win it as they can't afford to drop any more points to keep the outcome of the league in their own hands.

I didn't realise we were bottom of the u20 league.

:sob:

But in a cup final tho :)

William Hill giving 6/1 for Hearts tonight, might be worth a wee flutter.

I looked at this earlier as well however after looking at the league table decided not to bother.

The performance on Saturday certainly wasn't one akin to a team who are bottom of the league. The U20's have clearly suffered due to the better players being used by the first team through the season.

I think that goes without saying.

We have a few really talented young laddies that would have excelled with the u20s this year, no doubt.

Destruction Derby

Anyone got any team news, see if any first teamers are playing. Worth a bet with these prices

Somebody has just taken a tenner on Hearts at 11/1 on Betfair. No score after 14

Hearts price shrinking into less than 6/1. Anyone know how things are going?

Half time 1-0. Shot low and hard by Jamie Walker for the goal. Set up by Gary Oliver after he mugged the centre back near the corner flag.

Will This hand the wee wee team the title?

If they win all their games, yes.

Where did Jamie Walker play, what position?

A few people on here put him forward as a front man before Carrick came in. Just wonder. Always good to score against Celtic, always the biggest game in Scotland for me and certainly at this level.

Ps does that not make Rangers, not Hibs favourites for title now.

Hungry hippo

Hibs U20's drew 1-1 with Hamilton tonight.

Think Celtic are 4 points behind with 2 games in hand and Rangers still have a chance with loads of games in hand.

It's pretty close tbh. This is before tonight's results:

Walker's second goal was a goal of the season contender. He started off a 4 on 3 break from just outside the Hearts box, then it looked as if we had blown the chance with a heavy cross from the right, but the ball was worked back to Jamie about 25 yards out at the corner of the box. Jamie stepped inside his marker and fired a rocket shot high into the far corner of the net.

It was a fine and disciplined performance from Hearts who outplayed what was a strong Celtic side who increasingly resorted to a route one game as the game went on. There wasn't a failure in the Hearts side as the defence was solid with Jordan McGhee outstanding, the midfield worked their socks off as did Oliver and Buchanan up front .

There were five changes from the cup win at the weekend

Ridgers

L Smith, Gordon McGhee Ford

Simpson, Scott Beith Walker

Buchanan Oliver.

Only Ridgers and Walker were over age. Indeed there were no U20s in the side and that lineup could be fielded again for the next TWO seasons. The back four are all U18, midfield with 2 x U17s and 1 x U18, and up front 1 x U18 and 1 x U19

Some nice football played on a very bumpy pitch.

Walker, Oliver & Mcghee excellent for Hearts. Jamie Walkers 2nd goal was a cracker.

Celtic team full of big physical lads (no shock there then).

Learned that Celtic had paid ?800k for their big No. 9????? Madness.

Great result though and well deserved.

Great that the U20s are giving us some cheer in what has been a bad season,

Is it possible that we could take more to the U20s Cup Final than at least one or both of the big cup finalists.

Jamie Walker is going to score against Hibs at Easter Road in a Jambo's victory.

Coming off the bench.

Just make sure it happens Lockie.

So, are many of our boys 17\18 years old?

Impressed that many of the team are in their first year as full time players and that they could play together for a further two seasons at u20s as pointed out by FF.

The parka was great. At least he wasn't wearing jeans with redonkulously massive turn ups...
