FWJ
http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-highlands-islands-26155942 Hope they're not planning to dip my pocket to try to boost Caley's woeful support. I imagine County fans might be a bit disenchanted too.

The only way for Scottish football to come out of the doldrums is for more fan interest and bigger crowds (Old firm aside).
Swarlos
It's good to see when it means a lot to a clubs supporters. 17,000 from Ross County at Hamden was fantastic.
The Treasurer
Pity EDC didn't do something to encourage fans to attend the semi final, then the team might have had a decent support backing them rather than the woeful turnout we did have
After The Watershed
The leader of the Highland council will be at the game on Saturday. In the away end! He's a jambo.
2NaFish
Encouraging youngsters to go to a cup final? Sounds like a brilliant way to get youngsters to support their local team, rather than glory hunting and supporting the old firm.

FWJ
What seems to be the issue? Seems like a good idea. The main issue for County fans is that they weren't given any "Highland" Council money, why should ICT get it?

It might not have been fair on County but that shouldn't stop young ICT fans getting help to go watch their team in a final.

So if City of Edinburgh Council paid for buses to boost Hibs' support to try to match Hearts' that would be ok?
We_are_the_Hearts
Small minded pettiness on here that stops the game progressing. Ah but they didnae do that for us......well maybe they will next time. It's a good gesture, end of. It's the same when the SFA do something wrong against us, our rivals laugh instead of saying wait here that's wrong. So nothing really ever progresses. Dallas Green
So if City of Edinburgh Council paid for buses to boost Hibs' support to try to match Hearts' that would be ok? Did you not read what I said? I said it might not have been fair on county. To try and say it is the same as a same city derby though.. Also it is being said to help youngsters. Why would people want to be petty about youngsters going to support a team, no matter who they support. Just get over it.

mattyw_1874
Diddy clubs with diddy fans trying to boost numbers for cup finals. I can't wait until we are back on our feet again. The fact ICT are one of the best teams in Scotland sums up how far our game has fallen.
