2-4 to the toon army, although scoreline slightly flattered Motherwell. Vigurs,(their player of the match), scored a 30 yard wonder goal in the first half, faddy scored with a penalty in the second half, cheeky chip straight down the middle. Well played Hollis in goals first half then an other 2nd half. They had a fair haired, trialist striker who was so so. Newcastle were very clinical with their passing and cut through the well defence with ease. Dunnet who was a loan player with St.Mirren, had a fine game as an attacking left back for Newcastle

crowd almost 4500 including 1000 newcastle fans

Well fans, have they recruited one of the drummers that used to be at Almondvale. Hope this gadgey never comes anywhere near Tynecastle.

Ex-Jambo Fraser Wishart sitting next to Andy Walker in the centre stand, Kenny Shiels also there.

Peter Beardsley was in the technical area with Newcastle, heard he coaches their under 20's team, still looks very fit for his age.

Gordon Marshall was in our company prior to kick off and then joined us at half time, Jambo legend. Gordon said that Dave MacKay was by far the best player he had played with.
