Simo
I'm writing a feature for uni at the moment on online poker but I keep getting distracted cause it's really put me in the mood for a bit of poker at a casino now! AnywayI know quite a few people on KB play poker so I was just wondering if anyone knew anywhere good to play on a Tuesday night? Ive recruited a couple of mates as well. Being students we're not made of money though so can't really afford more than about ?10 buy in at the moment! Any help would be appreciated! The Merse
Fiver re-buy at the Circus Casino in Fountainbridge tonight. Can be a bit wild with all-ins during the re-buy period and you'll be doing well to spend only a tenner doing that...
Walter Payton
Not a casino, but you could do worse than check out the "Nuts Poker League" website and see which pubs have got a tournament on tonight- You can play for free or choose to put a fiver in, and the top 3 of all the people who chose to put money in get paid. I normally play on Monday nights at Diane's Pool Hall, but it's a decent standard of poker and I find it more enjoyable than the rebuys at the Casinos, as you normally avoid all the Donks who will push with Ace-Rag in the first hands. In Absentia
The Nuts Poker League has a Game at the Anitiquary, St Stephen's Street at 8 tonight with a optional ?5 buy if you want to play for money. http://www.thenutspokerleague.com/venues_details.asp?venue=555 I would avoid the rebuys at the casinos. Just glorified BINGO.
Commander Harris
played at the antiquary the other week, just for the crack of course. decent standard and a good laugh. I'd recommend it.
Bigsmak
The ?5 re-buy at the circus is pure bingo. There is an all in almost every second hand for the first hour. Even if you have AA you'll end up playing against 2 or 3 other people and your not guaranteed to win. Very unlikely that you'll only spend ?10. Maybury is ?40+ ?4 entry with 1 re-buy Add on tonight. Simo
Cheers guys, I'll have a look at this Nuts Poker League. I've heard of it but never really knew what it was. Agree about rebuys, only ever played in one, was at the Maybury and it was a Nightmare. People just going all in every hand with any 2 cards! Never again!
