What are you Listening to Right Now?

One of M83's earlier songs. Quite catchy. Lyrics typically  cryptic & hard to understand.  Video seems to be saying something about teenage sexuality.    YouTube must have  sacked their upskirting censor before it was uploaded.  :oohmatron:

Lot of great hi-nrg back in the day,my Mrs loves it,then again she also loves Westlife 🙄

Yes well i recently got free access to apple music so been really enjoying the old classic hi energy music from the 80s. I try and not shake my booty too much listening to it at the gym on my phone :)

I still cant believe that this song was around at a time when AIDS was rampant...the message it was sending ! ..Maybe it was a celebration of liberation ? However still another hi energy classic

Been listening to Hubert Kah all morning. Always liked a bit of New Wave and 80's music in general, plus my love for all things German. Only quite recently discovered that New Wave was a pretty big scene of its own in Germany so the perfect concoction for a Friday.

Another seriously underated band from Scotland, their song stay is also a cracker

Yes, I really like Tinseltown in the Rain.

There was an amazing explosion of top-class Scottish bands round about the same time as them,  and for a few years after.  Hue & Cry, Deacon Blue, Texas, Del Amitri, Waterboys etc

Quite like PSB - creating  soundtracks  inspired by great events in human history, with recordings from the era.

When you're fed up watching the "official" video of a song you like, a professionally-made studio or live  video sometimes fits the bill.     I happen to like  Sting, especially when he comes up with a  jazz feel to a song - and this studio recording shows the brilliant musicianship of the session guys he uses.    The drummer especially - one of the best in the business - Vinnie Colaiuta.   Watching a good jazz drummer is mesmerising, imo

Listened to a few of their tracks. I really like their sound. Plus they look like a couple of geography teachers

Indeed.  😄   JW seems very fond of brown jackets - probably wears  brown Hush Puppies too :gok:

This is quite interesting - a live radio studio session from 2014, with some chat from them too.##

This sounds like early Cure which is obviously a good thing but as a band who I initially thought were just alright, they seem to be getting better and better and turning into something great.

That was the song that I first heard from them on 6Music. It's good but they've got even better really quickly for me.
