Hi everyone

My friend and good jambo has started a blog with his friends to watch the IMDB 100 worst films of all time. The blog on Troll 2 even mentions 19th May!

Might not be your thing but would be a huge favour if you clicked the link and checked it out. If you're a fan of film or comedy you may even like it.

Thanks in advance!

Is "Night of the Templar" on that list

The acting in that film is so bad that I assumed I'd wandered in on my wife watching porn.

The list is mixed. Troll 2 takes the biscuit so far. Written by an Italian guy who didnt speak English but refused to let the cast alter the script so it all sounds like a 13 year old doing an oral exam in formal French.

"My father said you are a good for nothing and will not tolerate this"

It's very moving. In that you want to move across the room and turn it off.

Movie 43 will get in in time I imagine. At the moment prob not.

The Room is a cult classic. My local cinema shows it once a month. Problem is its become so cult people vote positively on it. Even if it isnt on th elist we will be blogging it. Troll 2 is of a similar standard if you havent seen it.

Years ago I saw a film called, and I kid you not, "Natas, the reflection". It was a horror about a haunted town. At the end as the hero was leaving the town he saw the town sign reflected in a puddle and realised it was Satan backwards. I realised that when I picked the video up. Apart from Eraserhead I've never seen a film as bad.

Troll 2 is already a cult classic.

Yea Troll 2 has a huge following especially after the documentary Best Worst Film but it is still voted low enough to be on the list. Im glad it is cos I laughed throughout.

The Room is a nap.

How dare you.

American Psycho 2 is probably the worst film I've ever seen. William Shatner is hilariously awful in it.

Managed to watch about 20 mins of it this PM before turning it off.

As Patrick Bateman's only surviving "victim", who kills him, finds his diaries and goes on a killing spree of her own. Absolutely spectacularly missing the point of the first one - and that's before it even gets into the horror of the acting, plot and Shatner

Yea without spoiling the first one that is absurd. Although it had none of the same people so they didnt care about upholding the first i guess. Thats the best bit about Troll 2. He called it that just to try and raise sales. It had nothing to do with Troll they just hadnt trademarked the name

bad films but honestly no where near the bad standard of the films i have had to watch so far. Plump Fiction at no.99 was horrendous.

http://twentiethcenturyflops.wordpress.com/2013/05/07/movie-99-plump-fiction-1997/

The trailer is at the bottom of the page. Painful.

i stand corrected. that trailer was bloody awful!!

District 9 is without a shadow of a doubt the worst film I've ever seen bar none. The Paperboy was also shockingly bad.

Attack of the Killer Tomoatoes? Or it's sequel Return of the Killer Tomatoes featuring a then unknown George Clooney?

It doesn't appear to be on the list

http://www.imdb.com/chart/bottom

I've seen that list before and always had a morbid curiousity to see quite how bad they can be. This blog means that someone else will watch them so I dont' have to

I've not seen many of them but Number 68 ("Lawnmower Man 2: Beyond Cyberspace") was quite astoundingly shit in 1996 and being reliant on "Cutting Edge" CGI at the time it's not going to have aged well. That's a treat for the OP to look forward to.

"Titanic: The legend goes on" (Number 60 , 2000) looks like a doozy. If you thought James Cameron'sepic was schmaltzy imagine it done as a Disney cartoon but by a studio without Disney's money.

Most of the films on that list are low budget obscurities and the blog points out that the first ones were directed by the writer which means there was nobody to say "Stop this is shit" in between idea and screen.

The big budget high profile entries are big vanity projects by established millionaires who nobody was going to say no to like John Travolta's Scientology flick Battlefield Earth, Mariah Carey's fictionalised biography, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez in GIgli and most scarily of all "The Hottie and the Nottie" starring Paris Hilton (She's the hottie in case you were wondering)

Yea in looking forward to the higher budget ones. Only because its interesting to see how these passed through all sorts of quality control. Unlike the ones with some sort of delusional autonomy. Thanks for reading though. Appreciated.

If your blog takes off you should arrange a screening of the number one movie at the Filmhouse and invite all your readers

Avatar: The Last Airbender was dire. Even the unintentionally hilarious use of 'bender' all the way through it couldn't save the film.
