That was an exciting day. I sneaked out of my job on Fountainbridge to go to the game, half-expecting to be fired the next day. But when I went into work the next day I found out that everybody else had sneaked away as well ... all except two old female clerks and one pissed-off hobo.

 

There was another massive crowd at ER, and it took so long to get into the ground that I missed the first goal. We won 3-0 easily, and that was us off to the final without having conceded a goal in the entire tournament. We had a great team and it was a magic time to be a Hearts supporter. Our confidence was high about the cup final against Celtic; we were going to win the Cup ... fact!
