BORED BBC staff have been given a playroom kitted out with ?20,000 worth of hi-tech gear - provided by the licence payer. The room - officially called The Playground - is lavishly equipped with plasma TVs, video games, consoles and expensive gadgets. Workers at the BBC's new ?188million Scottish headquarters in Glasgow have been provided with ipods, large screen TVs with SkyHD, a Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
