colinmaroon
Oh, that must have been in the halcion years when the GFA was the SFA and before the Dark Side came from the planet Ibrox, entered the bodies of ordinary footballers, and set up an alien colony on earth!!! The days when corruption was something that happened to a corpse when it was buried!!! The days when referees weren't 12th man to the Lords of Misrule!!! The days when the Rankers played to the same rules as everybody else!!! Just imagine it! No handballs before scoring vital goals!!! Penalties given against them when they hauled people down in the box!!! Absolutely NO preferences given to the horrors from the Brox in the Scottish Cup!!! Who said that the saying, "The Good Old Days" was a misnomer? .................
Hearts Heritage
The oldest national football trophy in the world and our names on it. The oldest one that is still played for. The FA Cup is been going longer but it is the fourth version of the trophy if I recall correctly.
Gilamas
I had thought that the wee team was called "hibernians" at the time but it looks to have been engraved as "hibernian" without the "s". Oh well - another myth. It was nice thinking that hibernian had only won the cup once (because the other time it was hibernians). I feel dirty now - too many references to the wee team in the one post. Hearts Hearts Hearts Hearts Hearts Hearts Hearts Hearts Hearts Hearts Heart of Midlothian Heart of Midlothian Heart of Midlothian Heart of Midlothian That's better. Debtor
Great names! Renton, Vale of Leven & Cambuslang! Even the Hibernian team soon disappeared and reappeared as Celtic. The Celtic stole the players and the Hibernian hoops also. Some things never change! Can you imagine Dumbarton, one of the oldest clubs around, ever reaching another final? boabster
So the deluded **** on flumps.net who claimed ( in some bizarre attempt at proving they weren't the wee team ) that their name was on the actual cup and ours wasn't was talking rubbish then. They really do live in a world of their own.

FORTHCLYDE
Many years ago either the league championship and/or the Scottish cup was on show at an exhibition in Edinburgh. I pretty sure that on one of them Heart of Midlothian is down for one year and another time we won it Hearts was on the trophy. Anyone know if that's correct and what trophy?
