Probably be about 5 or 6 guys (going for my birthday) Preferably should have a bar in it but if not I'm open to all recommendations. Staying for 3 nights at a weekend if that matters. We stayed in a big hotel on the seafront which had a nightclub attached. It was utterly horrific. The nightclub made the Gautlet look like the Bellagio in Vegas. There was also a porn film being (covertly) shot in the hotel whilst we were there. 3 nights in Whitley Bay? I would pay good money NOT to go there for 3 nights. I think I might also have been to this nightclub. Reckon memories are only vague because I'm blocking out the trauma though. We were there for the May bank holiday and it was just mental. Good luck. The first pub we went into on the Saturday afternoon, these two birds were going round with a bucket collecting ?2 off each of us to put on a "lesbian show". It was absolute filth. Think that would have been the Esplanade Hotel. Idols "nightclub" was attached to it. I was down around 18 months ago - place is pretty quiet and run down these days and a lot of the old places are shut down. Cow Posted January 14, 2013 Share Posted January 14, 2013 Went to Whitley bay many years ago and got banjoed of a bouncer , two days later my burst nose started bleeding again whilst at work and I ended up leaving my work in an ambulance with 4 days in hospital and a blood transfusion. Went back for a day visit about 5 years ago when we were in Newcastle for the w/end, we could'nt get away from there quick enough, an absolute shite hole of a place now.
