Hearts Heritage
Haven't seen this report before The Hearts opened the ground of their famous old rivals, the Hibernians, and people were inside Easter Road when the game began. The Hearts had the same eleven which performed well the St Bernard's week ago, and after a brilliant exposition Association football they overcame the once famous Irishmen by the biggest score they have ever beaten them by?viz., 10 goals 2. In the first period the Hearts simply played with their opponents, and inside half hour had no fewer than 8 goals. Thereafter the Hibs. showed better form, and managed to elude Fairbairn. the second period the Hearts had all the best what was going, but they did not seem inclined to exert themselves, and they only managed put another couple goals. In the closing stages the Hibs. also managed to score, and the game ended as above. A week ago the Hibs met the Celtic at Parkhead, and were beaten by 5 goals to 3. They meet the Hearts on Easter Road and are defeated by 10goals to 2. Last Monday these columns we stated that we thought the Hearts make a bold bid for League honours. It looks like it! Mikey1874
Brilliant, thanks. As you get older 120years seems almost around as recent as 40 years plus with all the talk of the 1896 final. We should celebrate this result a lot more. I'll start tomorrow at work with a 10-2 poster plus this report. Cheers!

3fingersreid
Question over the many many years I've had the pleasure of watching us beat them why - as in the match report- have Hearts always taken their foot of the gas ? So many times we could've hit them for more after all it fekin should've been TEN not so long ago Imagine the joy of 8 goals in 30minutes without reply lol
