Walter Kidd
Went to see them at the Liquid Rooms a couple of weeks ago and was mightily impressed. Just got their album on Thursday and it is a cracking debut. However, it must get on the frontmans nipples to be compared to Liam Gallagher just because his name is Liam. Are our music journalists becoming lazy?
JamboSean
Seen them do support before, pretty good live. The album is a little hit and miss for me. Some of the tunes are very good, some are questionable. I think they're riding the wave of attention they've had as the next Manc band. They're milking it for all they can, and too right. Sooperstar
I was at the gig too and thought it was great. The album is really good but as mentioned there are a couple of ropey songs on it. As for music journos comparing them to Oasis, they're nothing like them. I read an interview about a year ago where the journalist had said to Liam Fray that he could be the next Liam Gallagher, he responded by saying that this was basically baws and that he didn't like the comparison and he just wanted to be the next Liam Fray.
