davemclaren
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-south-scotland-19505953 As devolution progresses we can and should expect more differences in law between England and Scotland. I think it's a good thing.
Gigolo-Aunt
Murky waters if you ask me, Dave. Britain is a small country, there is no need to have one rule for above and one rule for below a line. Seems pretty pointless to me.
I.J
To be brutally honest, if you know you're driving and STILL have to have a drink (or two, depending on which side of the border you're on) then the law isn't your biggest problem, is it? Johanes de Silentio
there is no need to have one rule for above and one rule for below a line. Seems pretty pointless to me. Already happens, of course.

The whole point of devolution though is to enable Scotland to have separate laws in areas that are devolved. I've never had any problems driving through Europe where different countries have different laws and there are probably more people cross the border every day between say Germany and the Netherlands without any problems.
