The Gasman Posted February 17, 2012 Share Posted February 17, 2012 The old Highways Department Yard at McLeod St used to be the best place, by miles, for slabs, but I'm not sure where they've moved to? When a footpath was being reslabbed, the old slabs were lifted and taken back to McLeod St, where they could be bought for pennies. You also knew that buying from them what you were getting was good quality, not some of the lightweight cheap & nasty shite you see being sold in some Garden Centres and DIY shops.
