Jambothump
Totally new to this, but I have a jpeg I want to use in artwork, that I need to size to 80mm high X 185mm wide at high res images (300dpi). There is no problem cropping it, as the area around the subject matter is background. Anybody give me a step by step idiots guide, please, the rest of the layering I can handle. TIA jt
Sarah O
Photoshop 7 was released in 2003, ergo I'm not sure how it works but this is how to do it on CS5: Click on image>image Size>then just type in what you want including the dpi.
Ray Gin
Photoshop 7 was released in 2003, ergo I'm not sure how it works but this is how to do it on CS5: Click on image>image Size>then just type in what you want including the dpi. In addition to this, if there are element of the image you wish to crop out, you can crop it to the correct aspect ratio of your intended final image by going to the select tool, then on the toolbar at the top change the "style" drop menu to "ratio" and put width: 185, height: 80. You can then drag your selection over the image and it will be locked to the ratio of your final image.
