SPL - any government funding?

Does anybody know if the SPL receives any government funding?

 

Or, does it assist the government in carrying out any duties ie I am aware that there may have been a joint initiative regarding obesity in schools?

 

If so, is there not an Article 6 European Convention on Human Rights (right to a fair and public trial) argument against the decision last night?

 

I am fairly certain a case such as this could only be brought against a public body or, indeed, a private body carrying quasi-public initiatives.

 

This is probably a complete non-starter but worth a thought.
