As has been indicated for the past couple of weeks now that if correct Romanov's intention is to attend the majority of our remaining crucial fixtures.

Then surely now he must come clean on his and the clubs intentions during this critical period on issues such as:

* Managerial appointment and player selection

* Stadium re-development

* Club finances (debt) and proposals to reduce

* His plans (for what they're worth)

* Campbell Ogilvie's role/duties at the club.

He surely cannot rely on the blind faith of the club's supporters for these remaining 5 fixtures without dangling some carrots of info for us to chew on.

Over the past couple of seasons he has been feeding us on perpetual pesh and basically making an absoloute James Hunt of himself and the fans, and allowed the media hyena's to have a feast at our continued debacle.

When I think back to the occasions when we were relegated, yes it was hurtful, but not half as embarrasing as our present situation.

I think most agree that Frail is not the long term answer but our situation did get ever so slightly better under his "tutelage".

My biggest fear now, that due to the rising debts our quest for a desperately needed quality manager will be made even more difficult given the fact that we are going to have to build a team out of cheap foreign imports and the youth we currently have. (sound familiar)

This IMO reduces the quality of applicant for this post and thus we end up with another yes man, and look where that policy took us.

Thank goodness for me there are no fellow KBer's in Bridgend, Wales

We maybe dont have any crucial fixtures however there is 13000 season tickets to shift and many of the fans who have been asked to renew are not budging until they have answers and more importantly actions.

Remember Romanov is still accountable to the UBIG board and shareholders for the running of Hearts and I hope the are applying pressure on him to sort it and in the Western world way not the Eastern Block stylee!!!

I can give you Vlad's views on these issues:

* A manager with experience of the British game will be appointed soon and will have full control of all team matters

* The club plans to proceed with stadium redevelopment as soon as planning permission is received

* The level of debt is not a matter of concern to us at this time

* We plan to make Heart of Midlothian a successful club both domestically and in Europe

* Campbell Ogilvie is in charge of the day to day running of the club and has my full confidence.

At least, I expect these are what his answers would be if he ever put himself forward to face the fans. And I'm more or less certain that these are the answers Charlie Mann will give if asked such questions at the forthcoming meeting with representatives of JKB. Same old, same old.

Which is why I hope this kind of question isn't asked. Vlad/Charlie Mann have a fairly risible record when it comes to answering questions about the future.

Much more pertinent, and much more likely to make Mann sweat for his fee, would be the following sort of question:

* Does Romanov recognise that the footballing side of the club is in a mess?

* What is Romanov's analysis of the reasons behind HMFC's transition from a title-challenging team in 2005 to a bottom-six outfit in 2008?

I don't want these people answering questions about the future - it's too easy for them to lie. I want them answering questions about how we got here.

Actually Vlad HAS reasons to do something now

Roughly four million of them!

That is the likely income from ST sales next season, and there are clear signs a sizeable proportion of that income will not materialise.

In answer to both your Q' Leginten,

I think its pretty obvious how we got here, this was solely down to Romanov thinking that he was the only one capable of running all matters at the club which included playing FIFA Manager.

Unfortunately he has taken since Burley' departure to realise this. (by giving us Frail! nice enough guy, but definately not the answer)

Its rectification now or never. With no money for players or high earners if the media is to be believed, then the shrewdest investment of any season ticket money would be on a manager of some quality or potential to get the best out of what's left.

I agree with you 100%. My point is that we have not yet heard either Romanov or his spokesman address or acknowledge the reasons for the mess we are in. There was a brief reference in the NYD statement to the club's current position being unsatisfactory, but that's as far as it went. Until such time as we can be sure that the guy at the top knows the methods he has used to run this club have been utter garbage, the suspicion will remain that he thinks he can continue to make it up as he goes along.

That's why, for me, questions about the future are a get-out for Romanov/Mann.

I agree with the OP and most of the posts on this thread completely.

Hearts fans deserve something, we NEED something from him.

I was always of the opinion that because the marketing side of the company seemed solid, and there appeared to be a good level of business acumen at play in the heirarchy, that things would be sorted out:

How can a serious and talented business man not see that consisten underachievement and poor performances on the pitch will only serve to undermine the good work off it?

However, I have been tested this season and I believe that it is make or break time for Vlad and the management at HMFC.

We have been accepting their propaganda for a good while now, but we really need and deserve some proof that they are serious about giving us what we want: Success on the pitch.

Lets face it; as a fan I couldnt care less if the website was crap, if the news-feed on it was second rate, if we didnt have more shops, if we had a mercahndise deal with Bukta, if we played in a shed, if we didnt have a casino or hotel, if the stand was falling down, if the floodlights didnt wok, if the players were from Mars or farthest-flung Timbuktu, if we trained on The Meadows, if Lord Lucan was MD or if the owner was Jeffrey Dahmer.

As long as we have 11 players on the pitch who want to play and give their all every time and we see performances we can be proud of, I couldn't give a **** about the rest.

It is time to get back to basics, give the fans something to cheer and give us a new manager....

"Why Mr Dahmer, your team is playing very well, but I wonder where that young No. 28 went, what was his name?"

"Ivaskevicius"

"Yes, that's the one, where is he?"

"Fishing"

"Oh, I see...aren't these pies lovely!"
